1) Tuna Melt - There are different ways to make a tuna melt, but my preferred method is to toast a bagel, add Swiss cheese and tuna, and then microwave it for about 45 seconds. It's quick, tasty, and easy to clean up after. What more could a bachelor ask for? 2) Red Baron "Pizzeria Style" - Friends of mine would probably say that at least a third of my meals as a bachelor have included pizza of some sort, and they'd probably be pretty close. Let's face it, pizza tastes good, and it's easy to make. So why Red Baron "Pizzeria Style" when there are so many brands out there? Because, quite frankly, it is both tasty and affordable. Sure there's DiGiorno, but its cooking outcome is inconsistent, many times leaving you with a doughy inside while the rest is cooked. Tombstone is affordable, but not nearly as tasty. As for the other options? Not quite good enough, or affordable enough, to make them the pizza of choice. 3) Summer Sausage Sandwich - Simple ingredients and no more than 3 minutes of cooking time makes this a slam-dunk decision for a quick and tasty meal. All you need is a bagel, Swiss cheese, and summer sausage. For best results, warm in the microwave for about a minute and thirty seconds to make sure the Swiss cheese is nice and melted. 4) Hamburger Helper - It's not glamorous, and surely wouldn't impress a date, but it is tasty. Unlike the other options on the list, this one does take a little bit of "cooking," but browning hamburger meat in a pot, and watching the noodle concoction as it heats up, is hardly tricky. 5) Burritos - The great thing with burritos is that you can make them two different ways, depending on the time you want to put into it. The quickest way is to start with a tortilla, add shredded cheese, refried beans, and hot sauce (optional), and heat in the microwave for a couple of minutes. The best way? Cook hamburger meat and refried beans in a pot and then fry on the stove. 6) Deli Sandwich - This is, by far, the quickest option for the "bachelor on the go." Every supermarket sells several types of sandwiches, and with so many options there is sure to be something for even the pickiest of bachelors. 7) Salad - Let's face it, even a bachelor needs to eat healthy every once in a while. And luckily for us, there are plenty of options for the bachelor lifestyle. I'm talking about the salad in a bag of course. You get your croutons, salad dressing, and lettuce all in one convenient bag. Because, while we want to eat healthy, we don't necessarily want to spend a lot of time in doing so. |
